WHAT A CREATIVE JOURNEY

COLLAGE CONNECTION

Hello again, well I should be doing my ironing in preparation for our family holiday a week in lovely Cornwall. But I just needed to squeeze in a quick blog to say how grateful I am to beable to show you this display of my most precious work that I started in January this year.

I have been very lucky with the sale of two of my large canvas's "From a distance". This came as a really wonderful suprise & has made me feel so happy & proud of myself! I hope to start another one for a friend, after we have discussed what she would like? Exciting!

I have decided all my canvas's shown in the gallery style photograph above, mean so much to me I can not let them go. They represent my story in picture form & I love the feeling they give me seeing them dotted around our house. They remind me who I was & who I have become. I need that reminder everyday at the moment. I am really grateful to have found this special comfort & place of refuge in my art, when I feel I may begin to loose my way.

My idea is to come back from my trip, which is full of art & craft inspiration, & create a new large canvas which I will put up for sale on Facebook. This is an exciting time for me, a time I do not want to slip away. I need to hold onto my dream & hope, you never know maybe this journey will prove to be the most wonderful journey of my life?! Lets hope so?!

We have hit another set back with my daughter's health this week. We were all hoping for some firm news regarding a possible diagnosis. It has not worked out like that. We have to be more strong, more positive, more patient & more understanding. All our family are involved especially her younger sister who struggles to understand all the drama & difficulties. She herself has been so amazing! It is very tough to create a good balance for each of our daughters. We try very hard to create as much harmony as we can.

My husband is starting a new job in 3 weeks, so I am very lucky to have his extra help over the holidays.

I will be back in touch after our family break away.

Enjoy your summer & have fun!

Thank you for reading my post today.

Until next time, take care.
xx

  1. I'm sorry it's taken such a long time for me to take a look at your work.
My favourite piece is the pencil sketch of the BIrthday tulips - so simple but so natural.
I also loved the photography, particularly the ones of your hand holding the red carnation, you should definitely try more.....
I felt lots of love reading your blog and I'm sure this love and self belief will get you where you want to be.
    Your friend, Donna xx

  2. Hi Donna that is so timely as today I have been feeling very distant from all my creativity... I am sure it will start to shine through soon. I need to blog about our holiday & clear some thoughts about our trip first. I really am so pleased you have taken the time to read my blog as I know it is not for everyone.... Thank you!! Claire bought the tulips for my birthday & I enjoyed doing that sketch. Also I am developing a passion for photography... It's all good!! Keep reading as hopefully there is much more to come....xx
