COMFORTING WORDS

Hello again. Todays post is a short one which concentrates on words & quotes which have offered me great comfort.

Maybe they will resonate with you too?

The first quote enables me to develop a patience surrounding  events that I am having to wait for. My daughters hugely important hospital appointment has unfortunately been cancelled. This has been a tough one for us all. It is that middle part of now & then which I find very frustrating.

I had a disturbed sleep & looked at these quotes in the early morning & they helped me to breathe more calmly & rest my anxious mind to allow sleep again.

I have a growing collection of quotes I love on my Pinterest account. I am finding they serve as a wonderful reference when I need some comforting words to carry me. Do take a look if you to are soothed or inspired by words?

"Let go of how you thought your life should be"

This is a good one for me & my family too.

Until next time "Sharing Saturday" to follow, I hope too are finding your own comforts whenever your mind & body are asking for some calm & peace.

Thank you for reading my post today.

Until next time, take care.

INSPIRATIONAL QUOTES

"Never make your home in a place. Make a home for yourself inside your own head. You'll find what you need to furnish it - memory, friends you can trust, love of learning and such other things. That way it will go with you wherever you journey"
Tad Williams

"Your imperfect and your wired for struggle, but you are worthy of love and belonging."
Brene Brown

"Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy - the experiences that make us most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinate power of our light."
 Brene Brown

Hello again, welcome to my latest blog page, which has a different approach this evening. I feel I have words in my mind rather than images right now. My desire to create seems to have almost totally vanished for the moment. The last few weeks have been emotionally tricky ones & so it is a busy time in my head right now. Words are coming more than images for me. I need to work with these thoughts to pop out the other side to be able to create something with passion & meaning.

WHAT THESE QUOTES MEAN TO ME?
The first quote really worked for me, as I was having a bad day the other day thinking about "home" & "belonging." I just adored the fact that "home" was not material, but become your imagination deep inside your own head. I felt this is something I can identify with, as I have always felt a lack of home wherever I have lived. To create this special home for myself to carry around with me helped me at a difficult time of feeling sort of lost again!!

Brene Browns quotes always hit me smack in my stomach, as I have always understood every word! I love the fact she uses the term imperfect....but still worthy! Also about owning our own story. Each one of us has a story. By being brave & embracing our imperfect stories we can find our true selves shinning brightly.

All three are powerful words to me....they have helped me when I get stuck. They have given me somewhere in my mind to go to.

As I am feeling a time of change and uncertainty around me, I use these quotes to guide me to a place of calm & acceptance.

I AM ASKING FOR RENEWED

HOPE  PEACE  JOY

I do hope you have enjoyed reading these special quotes? Maybe they have resonated with you too?

Many thanks for reading my blog today
Until next time, take care.

FLOWER POWER

My husband has been so excited by my reconnection with art & design. He has been very supportive & I thank him for that so much. He mentioned he would love me to have a go at
a larger canvas for our conservatory. One of his passions is gardening & being outside in the fresh air for as long as possible. He loves plants & flowers & finds a peace whilst he is gardening that he can only find in fishing at other times. It changes his mood, calming his often too overloaded mind. I think it's a kind of meditation for him? He loves it!

I was quite frightened of working on such a large blank canvas, but I kept thinking of Brene Browns quote of "Daring Greatly". I needed to put myself in the arena, as she puts it! It has been a test for me...but I am thrilled & excited by the end result. Hope you enjoy looking?

BREATHE

I have been so busy with family commitents & helping my 13 year old daughter embark on a "daring greatly" journey of her own, I have found it hard to set time for my collage. It was bothering me, as I felt I was loosing the connection. It's back for today & I am so grateful for that!

Must get some ideas bubbling for my next large canvas... no pressure but hubby would like one for the lounge!!!!

Thank you for reading my blog post today

Until next time, take care
