EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE UNDERSTOOD



This is the second canvas I have now designed. I am really pleased with the finished result. The inspiration came from  often feeling the need to be understood for who I am in  order to be feel confident about myself & abitilites.

I am learning to notice my own strengths & feel grateful for them. I do not need other peoples consent for me to feel worthy of good things happening in my life.


Everyone deserves to be understood.

Even if you only have a small group of close friends & family members who you can be your true self with, that's fantastic!
It is so essential for our wellbeing to feel comfortable about who you are, without constantly seeking acceptance & approval.
It is becoming an interesting time for me within my own journey for self discovery & peace.

    I think part of the key Moira maybe you starting to understand how loved and accepted you have always been ... as and for yourself ... and the confidence you are now starting to exude is you understanding yourself more ... not necessarily others understanding you more. Perhaps the only thing none of us have really understood until now is what a struggle you had with feeling the love and approval that was already there. But that will change ... Kathy xxxx

      Thank you for your comment Kathy. Yes I have & do struggle, but hopefully out of this time of bravery I will feel more accepting of myself in the future. I have had to adjust & re-direct my life to fit around my troublesome foot issue & family routines at the moment. The art/craft has just given me some purpose & structure to my day. Also maybe a voice from the counselling sessions & reading that I have enjoyed recently. Some days are better than others as you would expect, but generally I am on the road to full recovery!!
