GET COSY

Hi, it's been a while....I have been so busy with loads of house chores, also making friends with our very first family pets. Oreo & Fig are my daughter Zoe's 6 month old Guinea Pigs for her 11th birthday. Thankfully they are both settling in really well. We are loving their cuddles already after just 2 weeks. The house sorting/re-organising was much needed, but I needed to get creative again after a huge gap. Friday was the perfect day!!

I felt the need to create a collage canvas that was warm & rich in it's tone as the nights are closing in quickly & there is more of a chill in the air. I really love autumn & all the colours it shows us. Bright blue skies, rust, yellow, brown & golden leaves. Nature is for me simply putting on a show everyday in these months leading up to Christmas.

I do feel autumn is a time to really feel your home comforts & get all cosy in preparation for the harsher wintery weather just round the corner!!

I do hope you like the gold glitter I have added to this canvas? I could not resist playing!! Glitter is magic for me & I may experiment more with it in the future? I adore how it shimmers by candle light.

Both my girls have started their new school years without any hitches, which I am truely grateful for. My husband has started a new job also which will hopefully provide a better working environment for him, which I am truely hopeful for.

I have really worked on accepting, loving & caring for our new gentle piggies, that have become part of our family. I found this very hard, as I have always been frightened of animals since I was small. But I felt I could do this, especially for my daughter who needed me to be a strong role model for her. I have held them & cuddled them. Feeling proud!! Everyone has been so suprised how I have pushed myself right out of my comfort zone. With the help of a very special lady who showed me how to pick them up properly I have turned into the guinea pig whisper almost overnight, which I am truely happy about.
